Q:Can I use carpet tiles in damp areas?

A:It is not recommended to use any carpet product in areas that are constantly damp; however, carpet tiles can be removed easily in the event of temporary flooding and can be dried out rather quickly. When the area is dry again, they can be put right back down. Wall-to-wall carpet, under these circumstances, would have to be thoroughly vacuumed with a wet/dry vac and fan-dried and would probably shrink or need re-stretching. A lot of our customers have successfully used our tiles on porches. They just rotate them. If weather gets them really wet and then after the removed tiles dry they can be used again.
