Q: Can you install padding under the carpet tiles?

A: Carpet tiles are designed to be laid directly to the subfloor. Padding cannot be used with carpet tiles. Carpet tiles come with their own skid resistant backing. Some backings have slightly more cushion than others but it\'s really hard to tell much difference when you walk on them.
